LIGHTSPEED
A four-piece indie rock band born in Sint-Niklaas. Since 2022, this quartet has been intertwining atmospheric guitar power and sincere stories into a delightful portion of indie rock. Inspired by the sounds of bands like Arctic Monkeys and The Libertines, as well as literary greats like Leonard Cohen, Lightspeed reaches for an expansive horizon of atmosphere and sound.
As their name suggests, they are working at the speed of light on their career. Thanks to their debut single “If We Could Learn to Fly,” the career of LIGHTSPEED was able to take off to a flying start. It was a remarkable success, earning a spot on Spotify’s New Music Friday BE playlist and airplay on Studio Brussel. Even more impressively, these winners of the Lawijtstrijd and laureates of Sound Track have graced the stage numerous times, making appearances at events such as the Lokerse Feesten and (3 times!) at the Vooruit.
With an EP release and accompanying release concert (15/11/2024) on the horizon, Lightspeed is ready to take their audience on an unforgettable musical journey.
