XINK

Exactly 20 years after the success of their debut single “De Vriendschapsband,” XINK is back on stage. In their arsenal: the wealth of experience the quartet has accumulated over the past two decades, often literally on the road in the rich Belgian music landscape.

In 2003, they represented Belgium at the first edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen, achieving an impressive sixth place. The albums “X!NK” and “Vergif” followed quickly, with songs like “Laat me vrij,” “De andere kant,” and “Denk aan mij” forming the soundtrack of many young thirty-somethings’ youth. In 2009, Jonas, Niels, Thomas, and Philip went their separate ways to focus on other projects, earning their stripes both live and in the studio with renowned Belgian acts.

And now, XINK is back. A bit older, with more capital letters and one less exclamation mark, but with the familiar sound of a band that seems never to have left. Their single “Misschien” confirms this: a dreamy yet sharp piece of power pop with the characteristic energy of yesteryear. With four sold-out shows at Ancienne Belgique already and eyes set on the future, XINK proves: a band never truly falls apart.
